Casamelia is a hidden gem for pastry lovers!
The bakery is right on-site, and you can smell the freshness the moment you walk in. Judging by the morning crowd, I’m clearly not the only one who’s addicted. Croissants? Fantastic. Cakes? Heavenly. Staff? Super friendly and always joking around — makes the whole experience even better. Highly recommend stopping by, just don’t blame me if you end up coming back every morning. I know I did.- Cibo

Friendly helpful service. Pastries sweet and savory both fresh and very tasty. It was even warmed up Al forno for us. The bakery is a bit away from main point of attraction but the detour was worth the walk. It was the lightest fluffiest cake ever. 😋

I am still eating as I'm writing this review, I would give more than 5 stars if I could. Everything we got, sweet or salty, tastes amazing. The coffee is strong and full of flavour. They were very welcoming and helped us choose everything to our taste. Try the fried zucchini! All the ingredients are locally sourced!

Absolutely phenomenal bakery - delicious food and wonderful hospitality. The first time we came here to have lunch we were blown away by the focaccias, lasagna and other amazing dishes, so we came back a second time and it was just as amazing. Just an all round awesome place!

The best rustici in Puglia! Incredibly friendly staff and passionate about their craft. You can’t go wrong with anything here! The pizza was so delicious that we had to keep snagging more pieces as they came out of the oven!
CasAmelia is the most charming bakery in Otranto. We came here every day on holiday and had the most delicious pastries and pizzas. The owner here was incredibly welcoming and informative and the food was local produce. Would thoroughly recommend.

CasAmelia is the best. I’m walking the Via Francigena and had written them a month ago about whether they would be open on Easter Sunday. They replied yes but only until 1:00 pm. So today I started the stage early and walked fast to make sure I get there in time, as I had read about them and really wanted to taste their food. I got there before they closed, but they were sold out of almost everything. The owner, so friendly and accommodating, offered, on his own volition to use some of the remaining salt and oil focaccia to make for me panini with arugula salad, fresh cheese, and tuna. He even gave me a piece of tomato focaccia to eat while I waited. When I asked for dessert, he offered a ricotta tart. He packed it all up and charged me an amount so modest that I was shocked. It’s unheard of, the graciousness, and kindness! He introduced me to his sweet wife, Amelia! So after I got to my accommodation. I ate one of the panini he made. It was dreamy good. I cannot believe that he can magically put a few simple ingredients together and make it taste so great. The guy has a special culinary gift. He also has the gift of grace.- Servizio

The guy that served us was just the best. He welcomed us warmly even though we went in while he was still preparing the amazing food. He showed us the local fresh specialities and was super attentive. I loved supporting such a great business serving amazing fresh local specialities and the service is something I never ever experienced. Loved it!

I was craving pizza, searched on Google, saw the 4.9/5 rating and decided to give it a try — and I wasn't disappointed! Quite the opposite! Delicious food, fresh ingredients, and a super friendly owner. I can highly recommend this place!

This is one of the best experiences I ever had in a bakery ! The owner is really sweet and helpful. The mood was amazing and the food tasted so good !!! I would highly recommend to anyone who's searching for a good place to have a a treat !
